Chengdu fu zhi 成都府志

The Four Categories of Literature
Chengdu fu zhi 成都府志 is a local gazetteer of the prefecture (fu 府) of Chengdu 成都 (modern Chengdu, Sichuan). The 35 juan "scrolls" long book was compiled during the early Qing period 清 (1644-1911) by Tong Shiyong 佟世雍, who served as prefect (zhifu 知府) of Chengdu. The book was first printed in 1686. At that time it had only a length of 8 juan.
Although it was relatively detailed, this version was not very well structured and lacked a sense of interest for the readers. It was therefore later enlarged by He Ruwei 何如偉.
