Fu Jiezi 傅介子 (died 65 BCE) was an official of the mid-Former Han period 前漢 (206 BCE-8 CE). He came from Yiqu 義渠 (modern Qingyang 慶陽, Gansu) and served as military gentleman (lang 郎) during the reign of Emperor Zhao 漢昭帝 (r. 87-74 BCE). As a commander of an official embassy to the city states of Loulan 樓蘭 and Qiuci 龜茲 in the Western Territories 西域, he killed the envoys of the steppe federation of the Xiongnu 匈奴 and thereby induced the Chinese conquest of the Western Territories. For his bravery he was promoted to inner gentleman (zhonglang 中郎), later supervisor (jian) of Pingle (?) 平樂監. He also killed the king of Loulan, Angui 安歸, who secretly established new relations with the Xiongnu, the great enemies of the Han empire in the north.
