Dongjia jiazi 東家雜記 "Miscellaneous Records of the Eastern Family" is a collection of various information about Confucius' 孔子 home town written by the Song-period 宋 (960-1279) scholar Kong Chuan 孔傳 (1065-1139), actual name Kong Ruogu 孔若古, courtesy name Shiwen 世文, a 42th-generation descendant of Confucius. He also wrote the books Zuting zaji 祖庭雜記, Kongzi biannian 孔子編年, and an extension of the encyclopaedia Baishi liutie 白氏六帖 (known as Bai-Kong liutie 白孔六帖).
His book Dongjia zaji was finished in 1134. The first part of the 2-juan long text is a kind of family tree of the Kong family 孔, the female branches, holidays, temple names of family members, the history of the veneration of family ancestors, and the administrators (xiangguan 鄉官) of Queli 闕里, where the Kong family lived. The second part of the book describes the buildings, institutions and ritual site of the Confucius Temple in Qufu 曲阜.
The Qing-period 清 (1644-1911) scholars Qian Zeng 錢曾 (1629年-1701) and Qian Daxin 錢大昕 (1728-1804) describe an edition of the book that included an illustration of the Xiangtan Altar (Xiangtan tushuo 杏壇圖說) and a poem allegedly written by Confucius himself, yet the transmitted version is without these additions, probably because the poem was a fake.
The Dongjia zaji is included in the imperial series Siku quanshu 四庫全書.
